Port Charlotte sits on the edge of the expansive Charlotte Harbor, a prime location for our light tackle charters. The area is known for its shallow flats, mangrove shorelines, and oyster bars, which are ideal habitats for redfish and snook. These species thrive in the protected waters, feeding on the abundant baitfish pushed by the tides. Tarpon also frequent the harbor and nearby passes, especially when bait is plentiful, making for some truly spectacular fishing.

From fall through spring, redfish are often found in large schools on the flats, offering exciting sight-fishing opportunities. Snook fishing is excellent year-round, though they may move into slightly warmer, protected areas during cooler weather. Tarpon are most commonly encountered from spring through fall, often found patrolling the deeper channels or actively feeding on bait pods within the harbor.
