Tarpon Fishing in Punta Gorda

Tarpon fishing in Punta Gorda is excellent from spring through fall, with migratory schools often passing through from March to June. They inhabit passes, channels, and nearshore waters, as well as the backcountry. Anglers typically use heavy-duty spinning or fly gear, targeting them with large artificial lures, baitfish, or crabs.
